A closer look at The Cliff by Christie AC Gucker

Can a childhood pact affect the lives of three adults?
Love and betrayal surrounds the lives of lifelong friends Lanie Rhodes, Grant Bennett, and Dane Voight. Years ago, they made a pact to remain together as friends forever. The boys also made another secret pact that same day—to never vie for Lanie’s love.
Grant and Lanie have secretly been pining for one another since they were children.
Now grown up, they finally admit their feelings for each other and what ensues is a twisted tale of deception as Dane does everything he can to stop them.
The story weaves around this uneven love triangle. What will happen to the pact? Will friendships be destroyed? Will lovers emerge?

Q&A with Christie AC Gucker on her book, The Purple Heart

Today I have Christie AC Gucker joining me. I've had the pleasure of reading THE PURPLE HEART, and it's one that will touch your heart. Now, let's get to know her a little bit better.

1. Tell us a little about yourself
I’m your basic full-time working mom, married with two girls. Love my kids and my family so much and every thing that I do is inspired by them. I am all about sharks. LOVE them. They are my greatest fear so I study them all the time. I absorb everything I can possibly see or read on them. It’s what my next book which releases this August, Pacifically You, is about. I also love anything scary. I am a huge Stephen King fan and it there’s a scary movie out, you can bet I’ll be watching it. I have worked in Advertising for over 20 years and I am a degreed artist and a musician.

2. What genre do you write?
I right adult fiction. Some might refer to it as Romance but my stories have a lot of substance to them so there is always an underlying message in them. Like this book, The Purple Heart, has the theme of PTSD and how the signs can be ever so slight. I worked with Battling B.A.R.E. with this book to help spread the word about PTSD in order to spread the word on how the families of soldiers can get the help they need to understand what their loved ones are going through. My next book, Pacifically You teaches a new demographic about shark conservation!
