Tell us a little about yourself.
I live in the San Francisco Bay Area with my husband and three kids. We have a black lab who sleeps under my chair while I work and write. The cat rules the upstairs - no dogs allowed. I work from home for my day job. I'm a cable systems design engineer. Basically, I draw schematics for cable systems. My daughter likes to say mommy draws pictures and writes stories for a living.
I like to garden. We moved into our new house last year, and I've finally had time to put in the garden, though it's still a work in progress. The apple tree bloomed beautifully and I hope to have apples this fall. The roses are gorgeous. Can't wait for the bushes to fill out. The daylilies and dahlias are blooming in a profusion of color.
What genre do you write?
Romantic suspense and contemporary romance. The Hunted Series - for the most part - is romantic suspense.
A must have snack while you write.
Usually, it's a cup of tea and chocolate of some kind - double chocolate fudge cookies, brownies, chocolate croissant, candy. I'm not picky when it comes to chocolate.
What are you currently reading?
It's been rather hectic getting three books out in 3 months, so I haven't had the pleasure of reading for several weeks. This dry spell has to end.
The last book I read is Sharon Sala's 'Til Death. I love her Rebel Ridge Series. I like everything she writes.
I also recently read Marina Adair's Kissing Under the Mistletoe. I can't wait to get her next installment in her St. Helena Vineyard series - Summer in Napa - out May 14th. She writes wonderfully sexy contemporary romances.
Please tell us about your series.
The Hunted Series begins with Saved by the Rancher.
Jenna's ex, David, is determined to get her and his shares in Merrick International back. Jack will do anything to keep Jenna safe, including lay down his life. Before he and Jenna can have the life they dreamed, David will put that to the test. Fed up with David's sick games, Jenna turns the tables - the hunted becomes the hunter - when she confronts David in the boardroom at Merrick to take back her life.
Elizabeth in Lucky Like Us saves FBI agent Sam Turner from being run down by a serial killer and ends up in the hospital with a target on her back. Sam will stop at nothing to protect her from the double threat against her - a stalker ex, and a killer bent on silencing her before she can identify him to the FBI.
The Right Bride is a bit different. Cameron Shaw is a high powered businessman looking for a mother for his young daughter, but not necessarily love for himself, until he meets and falls in love at first sight with Marti. She's everything he thought he'd never have in his life. She'd be the perfect wife to him and the loving mother he wants for Emma.
Too bad the woman he's been dating is on the hunt for a powerfully wealthy man to provide her with an anything but ordinary life. Shelly is determined to have him and will stop at nothing to marry him, including lying about being pregnant with his child.
Let's hope Cameron sees through the lies in time and marries The Right Bride.
If you had to choose a favorite book that you’ve written, which would it be?
Overall, Lucky Like Us is my favorite. I love Sam and Elizabeth together. Their relationship is intense, but still fun and flirty at times. Sam is by far my favorite hero. He's sexy and strong and protecting Elizabeth is vital to him. He realizes very quickly, life without her isn't a life worth living.
What are you currently working on?
Fans of the series will be happy to know Tyler and Morgan's story is due to be released October 2013. Tyler is Sam's partner in Lucky Like Us. Morgan is a psychic, helping Tyler with his cases, though she's nothing more than a sultry voice on the phone - and in his mind - frustrating him. All he wants to do is find her, though it will take him a while to figure out it's because he loves her and wants to build a life on the strange connection they already share. First, he'll have to save her from the serial killer bent on ridding San Francisco of all the false psychics and finding Morgan.
Book 4: The Hunted Series Morgan Standish can see things other people can’t - she can see the past and future. She has a few other hidden gifts that have cost her from being close to anyone, except FBI agent, Tyler Reed. She’s connected to him in a way even she can’t explain. One of Tyler’s cases will bring her out of hiding and back into his life. She’s solved several cases for him in the past, but will her gifts be enough to bring down a serial killer whose ultimate goal is to kill Morgan.
