1. Tell us a little about yourself.
Hi everyone, I’m Eden Summers an Australian author with a
love for romance. I’m happily married with two young boys and live in regional
NSW.
2. What genre do you write?
At the moment, I’m only published in contemporary erotic
romance and contemporary romance, however, I do have paranormal stories on my
hard drive. As long as it’s romance, I will write it.
Blind Attraction is a contemporary erotic romance novel
about the lead guitarist of rock band Reckless Beat, Mitchell Davies and
sheltered stranger, Alana Shelton.
Mitch spots Alana in the front row of one of his shows and
knows he can’t walk away without getting to know her. She’s an innocent beauty
in a crowd of gyrating, scantily dressed fans.
The inspiration for this story and the entire series came
from music, especially that from the band Daughtry. Whenever I listen to their
music I can see my own rock stars in my head.
Yes. This is the first book in the Reckless Beat series. At
the moment, I’ve plotted five stories and can’t wait to finish book 2.
5. A must have snack while you write.
Coffee is usually my constant companion. I don’t tend to eat
a lot when I’m writing. I can go through the entire day on a couple of coffees,
much to my husband’s disgust. He actually said to me today, “It’s good I don’t
have to teach any courses this month, it means I will be home more to make sure
you eat.”
6. A fact that someone might not know about you.
I love ham and gherkin sandwiches. I don’t think I’ve ever
shared that with anyone outside my family before. I grew up with my polish
grandmother making jars of gherkins and love them.
7. If you had to choose a favorite book that you’ve written, which would it be?
Blind Attraction. It’s the longest story I’ve written and
apart from it being the most recent, it’s a big part of me, or has been over
the last 6 months. The characters are a part of my life and will continue to be
until I finish the series.
8. Advice to writers who have yet to be published.
Never give up. Keep writing, keep learning, keep striving to
be better. You will get there. It is a tough road and the struggles only
increase, but it is worth it.
9. Is there a genre you haven’t written yet that you want to?
I’ve only written contemporary and paranormal so far and
those two genres are the only ones I’m interested in at the moment. I’d like to
finish and publish one of my paranormal stories though. That’s an important
task on my bucket list.
10. Any quirky habits?
I like writing with colored pens. Pink, purple, light blue,
orange. I find it easier to write.
11. Have you written a character that most resembles you?
Not really. I put some of my characteristics in my
characters, but only little things. Nothing to make them resemble me in more
than a few aspects. I.e. Beth in Concealed Desire works in a high-rise in
Melbourne, which is where I used to live and work. She also has the negative
aspect of jumping to conclusions like I do. And Alana from Blind Attraction
probably has a lot of my sarcastic and playful humor.
But apart from that, they are entirely their own
personalities.
12. What type of hero do you enjoy writing about?
Sarcastic, dominant and highly protective males. Rawr.
I love a man that will fight for what he believes in and always have his woman’s best interest at heart.

13. What are you currently reading?
Lucky in Love by Jill Shalvis and I’m completely in love
with it. I usually don’t get a lot of reading done because I can’t have someone
elses book in my head when I’m in the middle of my own story. So while I’ve
been spending days on promo it has been nice to read this book.
14. What are you currently working on?
The second book in the Reckless Beat series is my main focus
at the moment, but when I need a break I turn to another contemporary romance
novel featuring a sexy Sheikh and the start of a paranormal series with a band of
truly dominant brothers.
He can
seduce with a single glance.
Peering down at a sea of fans, rock star, Mitchell Davies can’t deny the innocent beauty of a woman in the front row. He’ll stop at nothing to get to know her. When a public altercation leaves her weak and defenseless, he takes the opportunity to be her savior.
She’s been sheltered from the world.
Alana Shelton wants to spread her wings and experience life away from her restrictive upbringing. But she isn’t prepared for a gorgeous stranger to sweep her off her feet while at her most vulnerable.
Attraction will bring them together, but their pasts will try to tear them apart.
He wants to teach her how to trust, but she’ll show him how to love. In a glamorous world of rock-and-roll, only time will tell if they’re up for the challenge.
