Works finished. The dinners cooked, check. The kids are bathed and in bed, check. I’ve spent some time with my hubby (making sure he doesn’t feel left out), check. I’ve washed the dishes and done the laundry, check. We all know how the list goes….on and on and on and on with the end never in sight. So, when do I write amongst all of these day-to-day regular things that take up so much of our time?
Good question!

Usually once the top four things are done, I’ll sit in the lounge with the laptop balancing on my knees and start to tap away. By this time it’s around 9pm so I know I have about an hour – hour and half’s worth of stamina left in me.

Review: How to Win A Guy in 10 Dates by Jane Linfoot

This was a cute story. When I first started the story, I expected something slightly different. I thought back to the movie How To Lose A Guy in 10 Days. I was expected a group of women to share their secrets on how to win a guy. But I was surprisingly wrong and not in a bad way.

I liked Ed. At first I wasn't sure in his playboy - love 'em and leave 'em ways. Though the heros we start of unsure about, are usually the ones we enjoy the most. Which was the case here. Millie was the heroine of the story - but she needed no saving what so ever. This was a girl set in her ways, happy with her life, and had it all figured out. Well, until Ed entered the picture.

If you're looking for a sit down, relax, and be entertained type of read. This is it. It's not to heavy and it's not too light. Dare I say--perfect?

Check this one out. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised by how much you like it.

Could you imagine living in a world devoid of modern technology? No mobile phone, computer, Ipod, DVD player, Washing machine, Microwave oven, coffee machine...not even an indoor toilet!

How about losing your financial independence – your job / career, credit cards? Unless you belonged to a wealthy family, you most likely finished formal education when you were 15 years old and then went on to work in retail, manufacturing or as a secretary. Marriage and childbirth ended any dreams of a career as your role was to be a housewife and mother – for the rest of your life!

Review: Lost Without You by Heather Thurmeier

The day comes when every series must end. I have had the opportunity the read and review the three books in Heather Thurmeier's Reality TV Series. And each book has been fun and unique. The last book, Lost Without You, was no exception. In all the stories, the heroine Zoe has appeared. Book one (Falling For You), I didn't like her. Book 2 (Stuck on You), we began to see her in a new light, and now in book 3 (Lost Without You), we see her for who she is.

I had an idea in Falling For You (book 2) that Chip was going to be Zoe's man. And it was fun seeing them come together. Though Zoe didn't make it easy at all. She was so hot and cold to poor Chip, she's lucky he didn't throw in the towel. But trust me, Zoe has a reason as to her ways. It's a mystery kept throughout the story until finally the big reveal comes. There are several small plots in the book that keep this story rolling. Especially a character named Alex is who connect to Zoe's past.

Heather does a great job ending the series. But thankfully she isn't going anywhere as an author and we can keep reading her wonderful stories. Check out this series--especially if you love reality tv.

ANYTHING BUT SWEET is a story about a man who hates change and a woman who wants to change everything. It’s a "What happens when an unstoppable force (TV Makeover Show and Designer, Charlotte Brooks) meets an immovable object (Former Marine/Rancher/Store Owner, Reno Wilder)” type of story. And it just might be the first book I’ve written that broke my heart. Yes, it’s funny and quirky, but there were some parts where I just had to lift my fingers off the keyboard and take a moment. I came up with the idea because I am a total HGTV fan and love makeovers. So I started with “What if?” and the story was born.
